  1. short: downloads newsgrouplists from newsservers ( very fast ) needs *YAM2NN*

  7. This little tool, downloads and sorts newsgrouplists from servers normally much faster
  8. then yam2nnconfig. Normally means, that it depends from the given list . If this
  9. list is presorted it slows the whole process down, but it`s still faster then
  10. yam2nnconfig.

  12. Options: 
  13.  
  14.     getnglist [CHECK] [NOSORT] [PORT=nntpport] newsservername
  15.  
  16.     CHECK does only download the list to t:newsgroups to see how fast and how
  17.           many newsgroups there are
  18.     
  19.     NOSORT disables the sortalgorith to gain full speed
  20.     
  21.     PORT ( optional ) sets the used tcp port for the nntp server ( default = 119 )

  23.     newsservername ie. news.cs.tu-berlin.de
